Tone's 3rd wedding plans

Stag night

After a little negotiation with Black Country Tours (No stag do's aloud) they are ok as we are a bunch of old fogies. Have secured the Enville ale bus on the 5th August, which will visit 2 real ale pubs before finishing at the pie factory for food and disco/singer. The bus will pick up at 5 ways unless anybody has any better suggestions at 7pm and will return there at approx 12, cost is £21 per person including food for which I will forward menu's when available (pie or faggots I guess) The bus is for minimum of 30 and max 56 so all welcome to invite anybody you feel might be interested.

Wedding reception

Off to Sorrento to get married on the 19th August and have arranged reception at the Plough and Harrow on the Hagley Road for Friday 2nd September

Review

The early birds (Chap & Dave) arrived in the Old Royal around 4.00pm to watch the cricket and continue where we left of from the day before's beer fest at the test. We were joined by Ian, Dave & Simber's before heading of for the Figure of Eight on Broad street to meet the others. After a quick couple of beers it was time to make our way up to Five Ways to catch the beer bus and continue with the ongoing beer fest, with Simber's perfecting his beer handling skills.

The first stop was a pub in Oldbury (name escapes me) but the beer was tremendous and assisted in washing down the pork scratchings being consumed by Dave & Chap before the bus conductor blew the whistle to lob off to the next pub.

More beer was flowing on the bus as we headed for the Dry Dock in Netherton, the pub with the canal narrow boat in it!!. Again, the beer was superb and it enabled some of the Chaps to indulge in a game of darts, Dave having a suitable darts player profile. After another 45 mins it was time to head off to our final destination on the tour the Pie Factory.

Here the Chaps tucked into a bit of local grub (cow pies, etc) whilst continuing to drink vast quantities of ale. Since it was a nice night we were able to relax outside to let the food a beer slip down before the final trip on the bus back to Brum.

However, the nights proceedings had not finished yet, as with a bit of bribery the driver was persuaded to take us up to the Moseley Arms for a few more beers. As the night passed in to the wee small hours the chap numbers dwindled slowly but a few remained until around 2.30am playing pool and supping more beer.

Tone apparently left around 3.30am.
