Tone's Birthday Session - 23rd March 2013

Plan for the day

Meet in the Jekyll & Hyde - 5.30 - 7.30pm

Meet in the OC's - 5.30 - 7.30pm

Review

The Chaps (Steve, Tone, Phil, Sim, Ian & Chap) met up despite the inclement weather as planned in the OC's. We settled down for a few beers and to put the world's political problems to rights. We'd solved the Middle east crisis by 7.00pm (banning religion basically) and also removed the Argie threat over the Falklands again (namely sending a couple of Conquer Class submarines to do a tour of duty in the South Atlantic!!).

The Pub du Vin was next up, again interesting topics of conversation came up including the 115 men in red frocks voting on who should be the big cheese to wear the white frock in a smoke filled room and back to a recent favourite topic the old Jimmy Saville enquiry and Chap noting that Rolf 'two little boys' Harris was the unnamed 80 year old!!.

Off to the Old Joint Stock for the next port of call and the atmosphere turned red as the Russians arrived. more politics, cars & golf discussed as the ale count continued to grow. Steve bailed out after the OJS leaving the remaining chaps to head for Bennett's just across the way.

Not been to Bennett's for a few years, had a quick jar in here served in a jug, can't say it will get on the chaps list of regular haunts.

Final pub was the Briar Rose - despite the snow this place was reasonably well populated, a couple more beers in here before the chaps took a relatively early bath.
