Strenuous activities to be confirmed in Dorridge Park at 4.00pm followed by less strenuous ones (drinking and eating) to follow.
Usual format weather permitting, Dorridge Park for a Game of Thrones from 4.00pm.
Train from Snow Hill @ 15.17pm, should anyone fancy a pre-train snifter then the OC's from 2.15pm maybe a plan!!
BBQ back at the ranch from 5.15ish.
The usual ensemble (Chap, Jan, Steve W & Heather & Steve B) arrived at the OC's for a pre train livener before heading for Dorridge. With rain forecast the undercover seating proved a necessity.
Arriving at Dorridge we were informed by the Simpire that following an earlier pitch inspection it was decided to cancel the pre-BBQ Dorridge games. (A bit of a relief for us older people!!).
However as what usually seems to happen at this annual event as soon as play is abandoned the sun comes out and was set to last all evening.
Sim and Di laid on the usual excellent fodder, expertly cooked by Chappo Pierre Chap and washed down with plenty of grog.
After the BBQ, the Garden Darts completion took place, again expertly organised by Simbers with Philbert overseeing proceedings. The eventual winner was Di, not sure that there should be some 'Chap' legislation about this but we can refer it to the committee before next years event.
Good time had by all.
