Meet at old royal 5pm onwards (ask people to call if they want to meet any earlier) probably move on to flapper about 7ish and then probably on to reflex and then curry (but subject to change and any ideas from anyone)
The motley crew of chaps duly assembled in the Old Royal in the somewhat cramped spot under the telly. A fair old turnout for Phil's birthday including Nige, Tone, Dave, Steve, Jose 'Simbers' Mourhinio, Curly 'Dean' Watts, Jez, Chap, Rog, Lisa and a belated arrival from Trevor!!. Plenty of beer was consumed with the usual chap banter amongst the motley crew before belatedly around 8.30 it was decided to venture off to the Flapper.
The Flapper provided it's usual greebo entertainment as well as beer served up in plastic pint glasses. Steve asked to say hello to Emma and Fiona from the Flapper as well as indulging in a bit of beard-play with Rog!!. A bit of decent music was arrange by Phil blagging the DJ before it was decided to depart for pastures new. Here, there was a split in the group with Tone, Rog & Jo deciding to stay at the flapper, Dean, Jez and Trevor decided on a splinter group faction off to a 'Gay' club, leaving Phil, Chap, Dave & Simbers being 'persuaded' to go to O'Neill's on Broad Street with Lisa.
A quick beer or two was had at O'Neill's before we lobbed in a joey off to the Adam & Eve - here Steve managed to fall asleep whilst standing up but miraculously holding on to his pint whilst the rest of the Chaps watched the band and supped some more ale. Not long after the remaining gang of four adjourned to Sharma's for a ruby. Steve managed to stay awake long enough to avoid getting 'naaned'!!!!
