Review

Chap, Jan, Alex were first to arrive at Mooch Bar around 4.00pm. Careful watch was at hand to nab a table so that the anticipated entourage for Phil could muster could be seated. We managed to sneak in a corner with good views of TV's for both the rugby and also the Villa V Forrest game if applicable. Chap started on the Guinness intending to avoid the strange mind numbing properties of San Miguel, but that was short lived i.e. one pint. We were soon joined by Steve W., who not only avoiding SM's mind numbing properties informed us he was still running dry from New year and would see it through for a bit longer yet, opting to stick on the Coke! (and not the Columbian Marching variety!!).

Around 4.30 the crowd went quiet as a giant white rabbit arrived at Mooch bar. It was reported to have escaped from Alice in Wonderland but it turned out to be non other than Phil. The Chaps duly settled in with ales in hand to watch the rugby. We were joined by Tone, Ian and Nigel who made his first appearance since Phil's last birthday not long after the rugby kick off. The game itself was a tight affair with England's self belief seeing them over the line. This can't be said for the Villa whose lack of self belief let them concede a 92 minute losing goal to put a damper on things.

The night progressed, and so did Chap's fading memory thanks to an SM onslaught, but we managed to completely nick the whole seating area in the corner before the end of the evening. There were discussions about playing more golf, a 3 4 1 system was mentioned or was that football??. Slowly the chaps and their respective partners headed for home. Even the White Rabbit mentioned going home and judging by the fact that there were no 'arrest' stories the following day he probably did.
