Phil arranged to meet in Edmunds and had a reserved area for the chap get together. A number of us were already there when the birthday boy turned up in his latest costume, an oompa loompa!!. It all looked a bit tight to be honest and Phil had to leave his wallet behind the bar to avoid getting any 'visible' bulges he did not want on show. Notable exceptions were Dave (preparing for Wainwright 214) and Simbers also as it turns out preparing for Wainwright 214 whist skiing in Europe.
Plenty of ale and a few nibbles were had along with the usual banter amongst friends till closing time. The brave, Phil and Ian (Skool Teacher not Smoothy Bollox) headed of to the Actress & Bishop. I had no reply to my text message the following day, so assume Phil found his 'Veruca Salt' to share his hotel room with!!
