7.30pm - wherever the deadly duo decide
Ian and Chap were first to arrive in the OR, however they did not have Banana Sports so we could not watch the footy. It proved not to be a bad choice of pub as they had the air-con on and it made for a pleasant early evening drinking session. We were soon joined by Steve (Tone's brother) who had had no sleep after finishing work at 6 in the morning, but had made the club for a few beers lunchtime!!, Tone, freshly flown in from Marbella and looking suitably sun-tanned and Nige who had just resolved his accommodation issues at the Thistle Hotel. Plenty of ale was consumed - well it was hot!! with politics, footy and other issues among the topics of conversation. Phil and Sim joined us later in the proceedings to continue the festivities. We carried on into the night and ended up watching the final of the 20 - 20 cricket, by which time we couldn't be bothered to find another venue. More beer was drunk with further discussions going on - Chap, Simber's and Ian being involved in quite a heated debate on the offside rule!!.
Steve had disappeared around 8.00 with Tone following around 10.30. The rest of the chaps were booted out of the OR around 11.20 - daft that they don't stay open later. Chap, Ian & Sim departed for home, Nige and Phil went in search of......
