PLAN Change
For the early birds - a visit to the Forest in Dorridge for the beer festival between 3.30 and 5.30pm (Chap and Tone are meeting at Snow Hill around 2.34pm).
Back to the Old Royal for 6.00pm so Ian can have a pint or 2 of gnats piss (Worthington's Creamy flow or something of that ilk!)
7.30 onwards - Open to suggestions
Chap and Tone met Snow Hill to lob down to the Forest to meet Sim & the birthday boy Ian. Both chaps having a sneaky beer or 2 before catching the train. Arriving at the Forest shortly after 3.30pm the 4 chaps proceeded to demolish a pint of each of the 4 draught beers that were on at the festival as well as sampling a bit of the cider. The weather cheered up and allowed us to spend a pleasant afternoon in the beer garden.
Around 6.00pm we caught the train back to Brum to meet up with Dave & Phil who were already in the Old Royal. The change of venue had been decreed by Mr Creamy, Smooth-pour Hilas (CSH) as it was his birthday and he gets a bit fed up of the real-ale (decent beer) served at the OC's. We settled in at the OR for a few hours supping various concoctions much to the delight of CSH before venturing over to the OJS to finish off the night.
A few more beers were consumed before one by one the chaps disappeared home, Phil & Chap being the last to go getting their marching orders form the OJS at closing time.
