The Chaps assembled for the 'Chrome domed' one's fortieth celebrations at the Old Royal. Chap, Phil, Ian, Nige, Rog, Simbers, Steve and yet another fleeting appearance by Tone got the proceedings under way with a few beers whilst watching the Baggies succumb to defeat by Tottingham!!. Unlike recent sessions, we did not dwell to long at the OR and headed off to pastures new around 8.00pm.
The next port of call was the Aussie bar - not a bad call by Dave as it was quite an entertaining night. We had Ian, our prospect MP for Dudders North in suitable campaign pose, Nige and Dave's double act, Jose 'Simbers' Mourhino in joyous mode and Phil and Steve's 'Japanese' hair dressing spectacle. Steve also livened up the crowd with a flawless performance of head-banging to a not too bad live band. Plenty of ale was consumed until around midnight, Some of the more alcohol fuelled members decided to call it a night, leaving Dave to insist on one final beer up at the A & E before retiring to Sharma's for a ruby.
We left Steve in the A & E, whilst the remaining quartet of strong stomachs (Chap, Simbers, Phil & Birthday boy) lobbed to Sharma's for the traditional end of session fayre.
Final note - Jose also managed to blag a joey back to Dorridge for the remarkable price of £13!!!!
