Meet at the Woodman Pub from 5.30pm. A new venue suggested by Simbers
A more sedate affair compared to last years extravaganza for Chap's 50th. A small but merry band of Chaps assembled at a new venue, the Woodman on Curzon Street suggested by Simbers. Nice place this, a proper pub with decent ale to boot. Phil turned up sporting his new 3/4 length jacket pretending he was one of the gentry. Steve H also made a brief appearance during proceedings. Plenty of beer was quothed before Simber's set us of on one of his more gentle route marches to the Eagle and Ball.
The Eagle and Ball is an old renovated pub that has had parts of Aston Uni built around it. So much so to go to the loo you pass the lifts that go up to some of the 'resie' quarters. It was a quiet night in here, but a is probably a lot livelier when the studes are not back at home for the holidays. Nice ale is also available. The remaining Chaps put the World to rights before heading off back to the Woodman for last orders or off to Moor Street for the train home. Top tip - good 'dump' pub if required, toilets are lush!!!.
Phil, Chap & Dave stayed in the Woody till closing time before heading off home, and yes even the Chaps regular 'Night-Owl' Philbert called it a night.
