Meet up at the OC's from 5.00pm.
Proposed trip to the Soho Tavern for a Ruby abut 7.00pm, but open to suggestions.
Food glorious food, and too much of it!!
The chaps assembled as planned at the OC's, with Chap arriving first and sitting outside on a reasonably mild night initially, due to the pub being rammed. Soon to be joined by Phil, Tone, Rog, Dave, Sim, Ian & Gary.
A few beers were consumed with the usual chap bents (have to use that expression for the youngsters that may or may not read this!!) before hailing a couple of cabs to head for the NST.
Arriving at the NST we were informred that id would be 20mins for a table, plenty of time to get a beer and have a piss one would have thought. But no, we were quickly ushered to the 'Sky Dome' and were ready to order. Tone took charge of proceedings and we ordered up 2 large mixed grills plus sides to share between the 8 of us. This took a little time to arrive so there was plenty of time for more ale and chat.
The starters arrived and were soon demolished, we also demolished 2 left over plates that Phil 'mine-swept' from the adjoing table. This was probably not the best strategy as when the mains arrived all of the chaps struggled to eat them. leaving various curry dishes only half empty.
A good night though with great company and excellent food. Think we need the organize the starter order a bit better next time.
