Review

Daz, Rog & Chap met up in the LC for a swift pint before the brewery tour. As per the Cornwall ale trail day, the rain set in shortly after and kept going all day meaning the chaps were going to get wet both inside and out. A short walk round the corner to Mott Street found a suitable attired Simbers' looking for the brewery. He was fully decked with supporting chapeau to keep out the rain. Tone arrived shortly after and the tour commenced. The place was only small, but a very enjoyable tour was had with the guide, Dave being the owner of the place knowing his stuff. It was also helped along by 3 pints of Baskerville Ale which slid down a treat. Phil had failed to make the tour as he crawled in around 4.30am form the previous night's session.

After the tour the 5 chaps headed back to the LC to meet up with the other late comers. Phil made a miraculous recovery and made it there for 2.30pm just in time for the rugby kick-off. The chaps sat in the heated beer garden for the first half before finding a seat in the much warmer lounge for the 2nd (all excluding Phil who stayed outside to hear the commentary). Chap, Daz & Rog tucked in to some fine fodder that was to be had whilst quothing vast quantities of HPA ale. Due to the inclement weather and the Villa vs Arsenal game being on the TV, the plan to head off was delayed until around 7.30pm, by which time we had been joined by Dave, Ian & Steve and Daz bailed out to catch an early train because of the weather, etc!!

We decided to miss the Jewellers Arms and head straight for the Drop Forge where we were joined by Nige and Louise and again opted to have an extra pint in here due to the rain and wind Simbers up about the TV licence fee once again. Good ale served in this place and some girly's for Phil to lust over!!.

Finally we headed for the Rose Villa Tavern. Again a few beers were to be had whilst listening to the DJ playing some tunes form the eighties. Tony & Steve departed around 9.30pm shortly followed by Rog, Simbers & Ian after a game of 'hide the titfer'!!. Chap survived till 11.00pm having decided not to opt for the 'club' option being offered by Nige, Louise, Phil & Dave.

Dave later reported getting home at 1.35am, no reports from the others as of yet.

Another good session had by all in good old traditional session weather!!
