Chap's Birthday session 03.12.05

Plan for the day

Meet in the Old Royal around 5.00pm

7.30pm - wherever the Binge drinking barge takes us!!!

Review

Unfortunately there are no pictures as the substitute camera man (Phil) has not sent them.

The Chaps (Simbers, Dave, Nige, Rog, Ian, Phil & Chap) duly gathered in the OR to quoth various ales from the likes of Timmy Taylor's to dodgy lagers. Bondbez sent his apologies (flu), whilst Tone was on another church bazaar session waiting for a new Playstation!!!. Plenty of beer was consumed whilst discussing various topics including final warnings for the WATN file (Sponge) before leaving for the next port of call.

We decided to stay around the Colmore Row area and headed off for the next pub which was the All Bar One. A quiet place (somewhere to take the missus!!) which had no draught bitters available (dodgy pipes??) so some of us had to revert to the Black nectar (Guinness) whilst the lager louts had a choice of lagers from around the world. Needless to say we only had one in here before moving on.

The next port of call was The Corner House (formerly the Hogs Head). A fine selection of beers was available here so the Chaps settled down for a good supp, returning to the infamous 'Simbers Mound' seating area. Whilst some of the Chaps chilled out to the music, others had a rather in depth discussion on capitol punishment and the 90 day detention period for terror suspects - oh how times have changed!!!!.

Under the new laws, the CH was open till 12 midnight so the remaining chaps took full advantage before departing to Shahs for a curry. Dave, Nige, Rog & Chap tucked into the usual excellent food before departing home in readiness for the next campaign - the Chaps Xmas session.
