Chap's Birthday Session - 01/12/01
Details
For those made of stronger stuff, or maybe a pre match sedative (we are playing Leicester !!!!) a few beers will be consumed in the Kynoch (IMI) social club between the hours of 1pm & 2:15pm.
Afterwards, assemble in Bacchus Bar before 7:00pm, I'm in need of a Steak sarnie !!!. 7.00pm onwards, who knows and will we care after a few beers !!!!.
Review - The early Bird don't get soaked !!!!!
Chap arrived at the IMI club at 1 pm, and duly avoided the hail storm wish besieged Dave, Simbers & Ian at the seven bus stop. It pays to be on time, however Ian had a valid excuse of being pissed from the extra scotch drinking session at 2.30am in the morning and Simber's had to wait for him, whilst Dave's feeble excuse was the CD rack collapsing !!!!!. Four pints later it was time to go to the footy, might as well miss the next two hours out as the match was crap and so were the Villa.
Syrup's pilgrimage was postponed as he had his annual marital rights weekend planned !!!!!.
On to Bacchus for a much missed steak sarnie, which was washed down with a few more beers. A rumour of a sweepstake was nurtured for the first person to lomb in Zanzibar's. This was interspersed with the chaps renditions of the new Budweiser adverts about syrups, edible undies and nudist colonies, plus Phil's usual claim to score on the night.
From Bacchus to PJ's for the usual quizzy thrashing, however the machine was off as was the pipe work in the ladies loos. The Chaps went upstairs but there was no draft so we departed to the Arcadian centre and Bar Coast. Again, only one ale was consumed in here before departing to the Slug and Lettuce. Here some naughty moves were being taken to avoid the dreaded lomb - people were actually drinking coke !!!! (mentioning no names, but Mr Mellie springs to mind !). The table football championships also took place which was far more entertaining than the afternoon's real footy - Rog & Heggy triumphed over Simber's and Ian.
Off to Zanzibar for the final alcoholic thrash - here Tone was trying on women's shoes!!, must have been a rather large lady for the shoe to fit Tone. Phil disappeared to see an 18 year old student only to re appear about an hour later, he must be a quick worker. After much general tomfoolery, Rog was first to disappear followed shortly after by Ian & Simbers. Nige & Heggy went later in the night leaving the four remaining Chaps to avoid the dreaded lombing session. At 1.30am - the curry house began calling for Tone & Chap, we lobbed into the Royal for a balti chicken tikka masala leaving Dave & Philbers behind.
It seems that everyone avoided the lombing session and a good night was had by all. Just a note the FIFA committee have met and Simber's ground has been seeded for 7th June 2002 - England v the Argies at 12.30pm. Put this one in your diaries !!!!!.
