Review

Simbers & Chap assembled at the IMI social club for four pre - match beers (just in case the game was dull!!). Dave could not make the early start having to visit a porn shop or is that pawn shop, I'll let him explain !!.

The match provided marginally more entertainment than recent affairs, with Villa taking the lead through Merson in  the first half, only to be cancelled out by a Lampard strike midway through the second period. The Chaps, Dave, Heggy, Simbers & Chap left the ground and made for town for some post match liquid refreshment. Since Dave had decided to meet in the Troc, there was no steak sarnies to be had so it was a quick dart into McBurgers & Burger King for a variety of culinary or not so culinary delights.

Off to the Troc, where Rog & Jellywise were already waiting, we were later joined by Deano, Phil & Tedbez to represent a decent turnout. Notable exceptions were big Tone, who preferred some other skulldugerous activity elsewhere. !!!!. Several beers were consumed whilst Phil told us the true tale of his fight with Tyson, knocking him out with one punch, but then staying at the scene until he came around to exact revenge !!!!. A committee meeting also decided that The Naughty Gnome should be place in the 'Where are they now' file.

The chaps then moved on to the Slug & Lettuce to have the usual game of table football, and a few more beers - the Directors flowed down quite well whilst watching the Chap FA challenge matches.

From the Slug to Zanzibar, which is usually the Chaps last port of call before going for a curry or home. However, Rog threw another option in to the equation and that was to visit the Adam & Eve opposite Moseley Road police station. A splinter group of Rog, Chap, Phil & Simbers lobbed in a taxi from Zanzibar up to the A & E, where Chris the gaffer (who Rog knows) brought us a pint - jolly decent of him. Simbers bailed out about 11.30, as to use his words he was 'pissed as a fart !!!!'. The other chaps soon followed the bear or was it the Rog, minus Ted who some how disappeared during the escape from Zanzibar. The night was proceeding nicely, with the Chaps waiting for the next live music set and also a bit of  lombing from Heggy up the bar, when disaster struck !!!! - The place got raided by the fuzz and we all had to leave at 12.00am. Left with no alternative, Dave, Rog & Chap to solstice in Sharma's curry house across the road - a blast from the past to the good old Digbeth sessions of yesteryear. Not a bad curry either.

At the time of writing not sure what happened to the others, they just disappeared into the night.

Next Birthday session - Simbers, sometime in March.
